    Role Summary

    The Analyst, FP&A will play a significant role in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Responsibilities include facilitating planning, managing budgeting tools, setting financial goals, communicating guidance to field teams, and presenting results to senior management. This position focuses on providing data and insights to enhance reporting efficiency across different time frames and supporting business data modernization efforts. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential to unify teams effectively.

    The role entails conducting monthly financial analyses, contributing to annual budgets and reforecasts, collecting market data, reviewing board materials quarterly, and performing ad hoc analysis and reporting. The position mandates on-site presence at our Willis Tower location in Chicago, IL.

    Essential Job Functions

    • The ideal candidate should demonstrate a keen interest in real estate investment, possess a proactive mindset to automate repetitive tasks, exhibit coachability, and show a strong willingness to learn and develop.
    • Develop and maintain financial models, conduct ongoing and ad-hoc company/fund/portfolio-level analytics
    • Master various financial systems and processes to offer support and training as required
    • Analyze monthly financial data to identify actionable insights for enhancing financial and operational outcomes
    • Collaborate with EQ teams to ensure seamless coordination across units and to bolster asset management, property management, and leasing initiatives

    Preferred Competencies

    • Attention to Detail: Precision in data analysis, report preparation, and accurate transaction execution
    • Financial Analysis: Proficiency in evaluating financial statements and data to assess company performance and value
    • Adaptability: Flexibility in responding to market changes, client needs, and business priorities while maintaining high performance standards
    • Resourcefulness: Effective resource utilization, quick task completion, meticulous organization, and attention to detail

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years of work experience in accounting, finance, or commercial real estate
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, real estate, or STEM fields
    • Strong work ethic, with the ability to thrive in dynamic and high-pressure work environments to meet critical deadlines
    • Exceptional analytical skills, proficient in Excel, and a strong technical curiosity
    • Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles
    • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including data sourcing, standard Excel functions, graph creation, and data integrity practices
    • Meticulous attention to detail
