Job summary
The City of Fishers Public Relations & Community Engagement Department is seeking a college intern majoring in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field for an internship during summer 2026.- Execute communications strategies including seeking digital marketing assets creating social media content drafting posts researching interviewing and authoring blog posts assisting with content buildout of the City's website.
- Support media relations functions including drafting press releases and media advisories assisting with media interviews as needed.
- Collaborate with local businesses nonprofit organizations on community engagement initiatives help to coordinate execute community engagement initiatives special events sometimes requiring onsite attendance.
