We are looking for an experienced Custodian Specialist for Part-Time, Weekend hours. This includes, but is not limited to performing minor maintenance and custodial duties as well as miscellaneous tasks.

A successful Custodian will complete daily routine cleaning of all high-traffic areas of the facility as well as proactively identify areas where additional cleaning may be needed.

Our ideal Custodian should have work experience in cleaning and minor maintenance.

Ultimately, the responsibility of the Custodian is to ensure all areas of the iVox facility are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for daily cleaning of the interior of the facility to include, disposing of trash, vacuuming and steam cleaning of carpets, dusting furniture and fixtures, cleaning and sanitizing hard surfaces, sweeping, mopping stripping, cleaning and sanitizing of bathroom and kitchen facilities, waxing, and buffing hard floors, cleaning glass, and steam cleaning of upholstered furniture and cubicle walls as needed.

Responsible for daily cleaning of the exterior of the facility to include, disposing ash from cigarette butt containers, disposing of trash in the receptacles, sweeping of entries, cleaning of exterior glass doors and windows, cleaning of hard surfaces such as door handles and picnic tables, and picking up any litter around the exterior of the building.

Using excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, management and all members of the general public
Report any damages and acts of vandalism
Replenishes supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizer as needed.
Prioritize tasks daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly to ensure all areas are addressed consistently
Inspects and maintains assigned custodial equipment and small tools for proper operating condition. Report any needs of repair
Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner in order to ensure the safety of staff and public; secure storage areas
Routinely inventory stock of cleaning materials and supplies and request orders in advance to avoid running out
Restock materials and supplies when they arrive
Keep records of work completed
Maintains current skills and knowledge in the proper and safe techniques of building maintenance
Follows approved safety procedures to clean up involving chemicals, solvents, blood and body fluids

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Proven work experience in

Custodial/Janitorial

Service
Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment
Knowledge of safe storage and handling of hazardous materials in the workplace
Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products
Ability to work under little supervision
Decision making and problem solving skills
Effective verbal and listening communications skills
Maintain strict confidentiality in performing duties of executive offices and other facilities
Honest, trustworthy and respectful at all times

• Punctual, meticulous and reliable

Provide a favorable attitude toward change and continuous improvement
Ability to manage risk and safety appropriately
Employment Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or higher education
• Background check, including employment verification, criminal history required.
• No written warnings or higher in the past 3 months if currently employed by iVox
• Schedule Flexibility AM/PM/Overnight, Weekends and Weekdays.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Work involves frequent lifting, standing, bending, kneeling, crawling and occasional work on ladders
Reasonable accommodations to perform the essential functions of this position. Medium work involving exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes
Worker is frequently exposed to noise and a regular flow of people around the facilities

Hours: 6:00 pm to 2:30 am
