    Overview/Summary

    Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this position helps identify opportunities and deploy technical solutions that enable improvements to the delivery of customer and business operations. The position will primarily focus on Fortinet network implementations, but you must also understand mixed environments where other vendor equipment is present. As a Network Engineer you will work with a cross functional team in the delivery of network services and systems, hardware, and software solutions. Helps support LAN/WAN applications, as well as wireless and security, as it relates to the Network Engineering environment. You will be exposed to the latest and greatest technology today in high-paced, secure centric customers.

    Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
    • Must be a self-starter with abilities to think outside the box
    • Strong customer facing position in complex installation environments
    • Ability to multi-task and work on concurrent deployments within a customer environment
    • Responsible for performance analysis and optimization ofFortinetdata networks
    • Drivea strong designarchitecture that maximizes performance, link availability, and providesredundancy/diversity while also meeting budgetary objectivesof customers
    • Effectively manage design projects and any issues that arise to ensure that they meet aggressive deployment timelines
    • Maintain and deployFortinet Hardware and Software
    • Maintain upgrades/images
    • Design and maintain and deploy Firewalls, L3/L2 Switches, AP's (Fortinet Preferred)
    • Maintain andmonitor hardware logs when needed for troubleshooting
    • Design, maintain and deploy VLAN's
    • Design, maintain and deploy VPNConnectivity to customer sitesif needed
    • Define network test plans and review results
    • Work with Engineering Team to prepare standards documents for the Data Network
    • Work closely with vendors to accomplish hardware / software implementations within a timely manner
    Minimum Experience and Educational Requirements
    • Must be able to meet deadlines set by management or client
    • Minimum NSE4 Certified Required (Current)
    • NSE5, NSE6, or NSE7 a plus
    • Fortinet NSE3 Required (NSE4 Desired)
    • Understanding of Fortinet products (FortiSwitch, FortiGate, FortiNAC, Secure SD-WAN)
    • Must be able toverballydemonstrate troubleshootingstepsof Layer2/Layer3 networks
    • Strong understanding of IP Subnetting
    • Hands on experience FortiGate Firewalls in production environments
    • Understanding ofFortinet Switches (standalone and FortiGate Managed)
    • Understanding of Layer 2 vs. Layer 3 customer architecture
    • Understanding of Port Channel/Ether Channel(Layer 2 vs. Layer 3)
    • Understanding of how to implement and propagate VLANs across a L2 network
    • Understanding of how to implement L2 redundant network topologies
    • Understanding of Fortinet Wireless Family of Products including Management and Security
    • Strong organizational and planning skills, and capable of managing several complex tasks at a time
    • Ability to manage personal workload, vendors, and deliverables, to meet aggressive project timelines
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent documentation skills; must be able to provide written updates for all levels of management
    • Comfortable using Visio and other documentation products
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Strong work ethic and team player
