    Summary About the Position:

    You will serve as a Project Scheduler on the Project Controls Team performing support of project management, control, coordination, and execution for District programs and projects utilizing the Project Management Information System (PROMIS).

    Responsibilities Control and manage project milestones and budgets from preliminary stages through design, construction, and initial operations. Review project funding and progress, measuring performance, and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed-upon schedule and cost. Confirm the completeness and accuracy of data after making updates in Project Management Information System (PROMIS). Review and analyze cost reports to ensure that costs incurred are consistent with resource plans and progress recorded. Ensure that projects are kept in balance between PROMIS and the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS).

    Specialized Experience:

    One year of specialized experience which includes working with various automated information systems and databases; producing and interpreting reports using electronic databases; identifying and resolving issues or problems regarding data; and auditing and analyzing financial data and reports.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).


    OR Education:

    Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B.

    or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

    OR Combination of Education and Experience:

    A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

    To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

    Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18.

    Specialized Experience:

    One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing programs and schedules to ensure project objectives are being met; preparing and analyzing project data; and identifying performance variations in cost and schedule.

    D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.

    in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

    OR Combination of Education and Experience:

    A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
