    Description

    Exciting Opportunity for Detail-Oriented Custodians

    Join our team and support the return of in-person learning in public schools in Anne Arundel County. Custodians play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness in schools, administrative buildings, and grounds.

    Position Details:

    • Cleaning classrooms, offices, gymnasiums, halls, and stairs.
    • Sanitizing and supplying restrooms and locker rooms.
    • Collecting and disposing of trash and recyclable materials.
    • Dusting and polishing furniture.
    • Operating equipment to clean and maintain floors and carpets.
    • Washing windows, walls, and other surfaces.
    • Performing minor repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Assisting with deliveries and moving furniture.
    • Operating grounds care equipment.
    • Clearing snow and ice to ensure safe walkways.
    • Attending training sessions and following procedures.

    Job Requirements:

    • Passing background and fingerprinting process.
    • High School Diploma or GED certificate preferred.
    • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
    • Knowledge of custodial practices and equipment operation.
    • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and respond to emergencies.
    • Reliable transportation.
