Summary:
The Senior Vice President/CFO is responsible for the annual financial plan for Health Plans, Inc. and its subsidiaries.
The Senior Vice President also oversees the following members of the Senior Leadership Team:
Vice President of Financial Operations, Vice President of Corporate Stop Loss, Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting and Director of Policy Issue & Facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide oversight of the Annual Consolidated HPI Financial Plan.
Oversight includes, but not limited to, management of capital and budgeting processes, periodic financial and membership forecasting, monthly review of financial results, analysis of variances to budget and taking appropriate actions to ensure that financial expectations are achieved (annual revenue and operating income targets).
Direct plan to grow HPI, MW, TT and EHN while maintaining low administrative costs by:Developing and implementing additional automation.
Supporting the business in continuing to grow revenue and take advantage of diversification opportunities.
Defining and designing administration services and cost structure for non-New England business.
Achievement of annual approved operating income for HPI, MW, TT and EHN.
Represent HPI at key Point32Health leadership and planning meetings.
Oversee policies, procedures and systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization.
Provide leadership and management that fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the organization.
Preside over management meetings and participate in Board meetings, including assisting with preparing the materials to be presented, as necessary.
Work directly with the CEO to support the design and execution of the overall corporate strategy for HPI and Affiliates.
Responsible for the annual financial statement audit, completion of the financial statements and implementing new technical accounting pronouncements that are applicable to HPI and Affiliates.
Responsible for working with the CEO and VP of Corporate Stop Loss to grow the stop loss product in coordination with Point32Health.
Maintains oversight of Human Resources.Oversees strategy for real estate and maintenance of existing facilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus ten or more years as an experienced leader and financial executive; MBA or master's degree preferred.
CPA designation preferred.
Extensive expertise in the insurance and TPA industry including knowledge of daily operations.
Self- directed with strong leadership and motivational influence.
Excellent negotiator with experience in contracts.
Analytical with proven problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations.
Excellent communication capabilities both verbally and in writing.
Proven sound and accurate judgment.
