    Position Summary

    Note:
    Only Academic Professional and Classified Contract staff are eligible to apply for this opening.

    The Admissions Specialist II is responsible for the admissions efforts for assigned program(s): Nursing, Radiography, Dental and others (as needed).

    Services may include new student recruitment, operations, community outreach, public information, and program specific promotional events. For more information, see the classification description below.

    Work will typically be completed remotely from a home office M-F, between 8-5pm.

    Occasional work outside of these hours will be required and the ability to travel to campus/various work locations should also be expected as this position may require in-person meetings and event attendance.

    Candidate Profile

    These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
    Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.

    Presenting admissions information on Nursing, Dental, and Medical Imaging programs (virtually and in-person)
    Updating admissions guide materials for assigned programs
    Assisting students through first phases of the closed/limited entry admissions process
    Reviewing and scoring closed/limited entry applications
    Responding to student inquiries and emails
    Communicating necessary admissions information to advising and program staff

    Minimum Qualifications

    To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications.

    (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

    Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Communication, or related field. Experience performing the duties of this job may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
    One year of demonstrated experience in a higher education environment or academic program related environment.
    Experience in customer oriented or student-centered services/advising preferably in an academic environment.
    Experience in public speaking, educational marketing or recruitment. Strong organizational skills with experience in program coordination and/or office management.

    Starting Salary Expectations
    $56,139.00 to $60, Step 3); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

    Position Grade Salary Range
    $56139 to $97344 Annual Salary

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

    Occasional lifting of large quantities of recruiting materials and display equipment that may weigh 30-50 pounds required. During peak recruiting seasons requires long hours of standing on cement or gym floors.
