    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for interacting in a courteous and friendly manner with guests, Residents and staff. Performs clerical duties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

    · Assists Residents:

    Reservations for rooms in the building

    Submitting work order request through automated work order program

    Makes reservations for various community events

    Transportation scheduling services

    Monitors Lifeline emergency response system and fire alarm panel during day time hours

    Assign Lifeline pendants to Residents and update Resident files and information in Lifeline computer

    Meet and greet Residents, family members, visitors and vendors who visit our facility

    Assist Residents with computer in Business Center

    Accept mail/packages for Residents

    Add Point of Sale (POS) charges in system for billing Residents

    Handles cash for stamps

    · Acts as back-up for answering outside calls.

    · Monitors emergency response system and fire alarm panel during daytime hours.

    · Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

    · Supports the Mission and Values of the community and Catholic social teachings.

    · Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     Educational Requirements and Experience:

    · High school diploma or equivalent.

    · 1-year experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    · Language Ability:

    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking the primary language of the residents.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    · Mathematical Skills:

    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    · Cognitive Demands:

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    · Computer Skills:

    • Ability to use Microsoft Windows. Ability to use software to design calendars and signs. Ability to use the Internet.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
    • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
