    Genesis10 is seeking IT Audit / Trading Compliance consultant for a project with a Global Investment Bank client located in New York, NY.

    This role will be hybrid onsite in downtown NYC (typical schedule is 2 days onsite 3 days remote).

    Summary:
    Our client has a need for a senior consultant within their Internal Audit group supporting Global Markets Engineering.


    Responsibilities:
    Analyze the design of controls around the underlying system architecture in the context of information technology controls such as security, availability and performance, and their impact on the business, as well as business-specific controls, such as execution quality, market conduct, data privacy, and client protection controls, among others
    Design and execute tests to validate system controls, which requires code reviews and re-performance of system processes
    Understand business requirements and technical implementations to identify key business risks
    Assist in presenting the scope, progress and results of the review to internal, IT and business stakeholders
    Analyze large data sets using advanced tooling to obtain strategic insights into risks
    Assist the risk assessment, scoping and planning of a review
    Analyze the business and technology processes to evaluate the effectiveness of the relevant technology controls
    Validate that system features meet business, technology and regulatory requirements
    Document the results of the test steps executed within the Internal Audit automated document project repository
    Assist in the preparation of audit reports, providing conclusions to senior management
    Follow-up on open audit issues and their resolution
    Participate in department-wide initiatives aimed at continually improving IA's processes and supporting infrastructure


    Qualifications:
    3+ years of experience in a software development/engineering or technology audit role
    Technical Skills - Demonstrates strong technical skills required for the role, pays attention to detail, takes initiative to broaden his/her knowledge and demonstrates appropriate financial/analytical skills

    System Architecture and Design:
    availability, performance, scalability, data integrity, cybersecurity

    Technology Operations:
    change management, data backup and retention, performance and capacity management

    Technology governance:
    technology risk management, policies and procedures, rules, regulations, intellectual property

    Application security management:
    user entitlements, authentication, accountability, data protection
    Certification or industry accreditation (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM, CFA, Series 7, PMP) is a plus
    Strong knowledge of a programming language, such as Java, Python, or C++
    Intermediate level analytical and data analysis skills (e.g. SQL, R)
    OR Intermediate level knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS or Others)


    Desired:
    Knowledge of the capital markets or brokerage industry, including financial products and/or market structure
    Strong mathematical background, including statistics and other quantitative skills
    Experience in technology audit or other control/risk functions
