**Job Description**

**AECOM** is seeking a **Sr. Bridge Engineer** to work on SCDOT projects in the **North Charleston, SC** area.

**This job is available immediately.**

**Duties include but are not limited to:**

+ Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.

+ Provides specialized technical input and oversight to studies and designs for bridge and other transportation structural elements such as culverts and walls.

+ Reviews submittals and shop drawings.

+ Evaluate design calculations for projects.

+ Examines existing structures and load ratings.

+ Prepares necessary plans, specifications, estimates and technical memorandums.

+ Approves and signs off on work.

+ Presents complex technical solutions to clients.

+ Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.

+ Participates in development of technical proposals.

+ Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.

+ Market bridge and structural design services to clients.

+ Lead junior engineers and work successfully on a team.

+ Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

+ PE (Professional Engineer) in South Carolina or ability to transfer through reciprocity

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Knowledge of industry standards and practices

+ Experience with Local SCDOT projects.

+ Masters Degree

+ Experience presenting at conferences, on papers or technical meetings.
