    The Plant Purchasing Administrator reports to the Plant Controller and will be a key member of the Finance/Procurement team. This position will work in collaboration with the Memphis Manufacturing Teams. The candidate must be an initiative-taker, adept at communicating with multiple levels of an organization, can build trust, influence, provide coaching and work with teams cross functionally. He/she will support in the development and implementation of sourcing projects to best satisfy the needs of the customer, operations, and finance. He/she will manage spending as well as oversee the supplies, service, and occasionally capital purchase orders.

    Responsibilites:

    • Creates purchase orders for various plant services/materials, and maintenance related POs. Responsibility for full cycle of these POs (GRNIs, Basware, Open PO review, etc.)
    • Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and supplier invoices, liaising with finance and suppliers to correct errors and ensure accurate billing.
    • Manage the EIP (Earning Improvement Program). Identifies and initiates cost savings/productivity improvement opportunities.
    • Vendor Master Data includes setting up new vendors.
    • Monitors and reconciles credit card purchases.
    • Execute inventory counts as requested (weekly, monthly)
    • Assist in preparation and audits for the bi-annual physical inventory.
    • Embraces and enforces all safety practices established for the operation.
    • Be a positive spokesperson and help lead plant wide changes.
    • Provide the Plant Controller with accurate and timely purchasing/spending information.
    • Provide backup for ordering office supplies for the office.
    • Other AP and spend analysis as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • 3-5 years experience in manufacturing environment with procurement responsibilities
    • 1-3 years experience of SAP experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Bachelors degree preferred.
    • Very high-level attention to detail
    • Desire to learn and an eagerness to develop.
    • Must have strong internal and external customer service skills, ability to effectively communicate with suppliers.
    • Basic Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Effective communication skills; written and oral
    • Analytical skills
