    The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) works as part of the provider team of the clinics. Performs within the specific scope of practice and licensure within the State of LA.

    Independently engages in advanced social work practice based on the application of social work theory, knowledge, ethics and methods to restore or enhance social, psychosocial or biopsychosocial functioning of individuals, couples, families, groups, organizations, and communities.

    The LCSW practices clinical social work which requires the application of specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the areas of prevention assessment diagnosis and treatment of mental emotional and behavioral.

    Treatment methods include the provision of individual marital, couple, Family and group psychotherapy The LCSW performs these functions within a collaborative relationship with a licensed physician of the Innis Community Health Center Inc.

    in an ambulatory care clinic setting.
