Job DescriptionWe are looking for an electrical expert out of our
Paducah, KY
location who can help us maintain our vessels I&E systems preventative maintenance programs including equipment calibration while ensuring they meet both United States Coast Guard and Ingram standards.
Electrical Project Lead
is a subject matter expert who can juggle multiple projects, deliver excellent customer service, and solve complex engineering problems.
You will accomplish tasks while working in all kinds of weather conditions and environments where working safely will be top priority, because at Ingram, we strive for Zero Harm to our company property and our associates as you will be supervising vessel associates installing systems and electrical projects.
What you will be doing:
Maintaining a knowledge of current and new technologies
Assuring proper documentation of electrical work done
Calibrating, testing, inspecting, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining overall vessel electrical needs and designing including electronic devices (PLCs, transmitters, controllers etc.)
Responsible for computer driven control system and related devices
Attending routine staff, Overhaul, ISAFE & project progress meetings
Assisting Chief Engineers with "hands on" maintenance and repair tasks
Assisting Chief Engineers with on board maintenance procedures
Performing special technical assignments as directed by the Director of Engineering
Coordinating and directing vendors and Ingram associates during the process of electrical repair or install
Supporting and maintaining all IBCO electric systems including: steering, throttle, distribution systems, alarm systems, etc. on the vessel
Industry knowledge of both A/C-D/C controls and systems
Experience with installation of automated control processes of electrical and mechanical equipment
Maintaining logs, records, drawings and other documents
Supporting department activities with regular and prompt attendance
Helping with training of chief and junior engineers
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
5+ years of experience required
Ability to obtain NFPA 70e certification
A high level of knowledge of the vessels and vessel systems is required for this position.
General marine vessel knowledge.
Exceptional people skills are also required prior to, during and after the project to assure customer satisfaction is maintained at a high level.
Ability to manage vendors, processes across multiple areas.Must be able to organize and prioritize large amounts of information and use information to align with customer service, operations and engineering regulatory and company specifications.
Possess ability to cross functionally work with multiple department representatives to achieve common goals.What will also make you successful:
Must have the physical ability to transit all work environments for vessel and facility docks (i.e. lifting, climbing, confined spaces, maneuver hazardous areas)
Able to work in extreme weather conditions
Traveling to other facilities
On-call 24 hours a day
