ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a SOC Analyst Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. You'll work closely with the Navigant SOC team, learning about threat detection, incident response, and security best practices. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career in cybersecurity.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Security Monitoring:
  • Assist in monitoring security alerts and events using SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools.
  • Identify potential security incidents and escalate them to senior analysts.
    
    
• Incident Response:
  • Participate in incident investigations, including analyzing logs, network traffic, and system behavior.
  • Collaborate with various teams to contain and remediate security incidents.
    
    
• Threat Intelligence:
  • Stay informed about the latest threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Contribute to threat intelligence analysis.
    
    
• Documentation:
  • Document incident details, procedures, and findings.
  • Maintain accurate records of security incidents.
    
    
• Security Awareness:
  • Assist in promoting security awareness within the organization.
  • Help educate employees on security best practices.
    
    
• Other Duties:
  • Support the SOC team in various tasks as needed.
    
    

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.
• Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
