    Nature of Work:
    Performs responsible moderately clerical and data entry work reviewing fire incident and casualty reports, assigning codes and distributing reports to appropriate persons. Work is performed under close supervision and performance is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation, conferences, and review of reports submitted.

    1. Fire Report Specialist I - High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and six (6) months to one (1) year responsible clerical experience, preferably involving the review, coding, and analysis of reports; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must pass a background check which includes a polygraph.

    1. Fire Report Specialist II - High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and three (3) years data input or records management experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must pass a background check which includes a polygraph.

    1. Fire Report Specialist III - Associate's Degree in related field and four (4) or more years' experience in fire operations such as report processing, report writing, planning, analysis, or computer operations, some of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must pass a background check which includes a polygraph.

    1. Fire Report Specialist Senior - Associate's Degree in related field plus four (4) years' experience in fire operations such as report processing, report writing, planning, analysis, or computer operations, some of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must pass a background check which includes a polygraph.
