    Job Opportunity

    We are seeking an experienced Sourcing and Procurement Lead to join our team at Velocity Procurement LLC.

    About the Role:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with clients' sourcing and procurement departments to support business improvement initiatives and achieve deeper cost savings.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead multiple teams in executing and delivering large-scale transformational sourcing projects, providing input on category and sourcing strategy.
    • Validate efficiencies through TCO analysis and market research to develop robust sourcing strategies.
    • Maintain relationships with key client stakeholders and manage supplier engagement processes.
    • Identify continuous cost improvement opportunities and lead process discussions to explore new avenues.
    • Schedule presentations to share project results, including identified savings and recommendations, with client executives.
    • Create scorecards for in-depth analysis of sourcing results, guiding client decisions.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on sourcing-to-contract activities, representing thought leadership and deep understanding of category cost drivers and market intelligence.
    • Support business development pursuits and demonstrate leadership in guiding teams on source-to-contract and category management.
    • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment, providing mentoring and motivation to diverse client engagement teams.
    • Drive high-quality work within expected timeframes and budgets, monitoring progress and managing risk to ensure client satisfaction.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field.
    • 5+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably in a consulting environment.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience working across indirect and direct spend categories.
    • Demonstrated expertise in sourcing and procurement, including ability to mentor and lead teams.
    • Deep knowledge in strategic sourcing, category management, total supplier risk, source-to-pay, procure-to-pay, supplier relationship management, or spend analytics.
    • Ability to scope client engagements and lead proposal processes.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to changes from clients or internal stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated track record of delivering results.

    Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
