    ULRI-ULSE is looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our dynamic Finance team as a Finance Intern. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience and contribute to the operational success of our finance department. This role is based in our headquarters in Evanston office and is a great opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in finance.

    Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities
    • Assist in conducting finance projects related to our safety mission and goals. This may data collection, financial analysis, and synthesizing information from various sources.
    • Help collect and organize data using qualitative and quantitative financial analysis. Analyze data to draw meaningful insights and trends.
    • Support in creating reports, presentations, and visualizations summarizing analysis findings. Prepare materials for internal and external presentations.
    • Work closely with the finance team and other departments to gather information, share insights, and contribute to a collaborative and innovative research environment.
    • Assist in managing and organizing finance projects, ensuring they are on schedule and within budget. Take on specific tasks related to project goals.
    • Stay current with relevant literature, trends, and developments in the field to contribute valuable insights to ongoing projects.
    • Perform administrative duties as needed, including data entry, financial analysis, and coordination of meetings.
    Professional Competencies
    • Excellent communication and writing skills.
    • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Workday, Excel).
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • An eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
    Experience and Education Requirements
    • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in a related field (e.g., finance).
    • Strong interest in the non-profit sector and research related to safety, social or environmental issues.
