    PEI is currently seeking a Director of Operations that reports to the Senior Vice President of Operations.

    This division provides engineering, construction, and maintenance services to the high voltage electrical utility industry (including large Investor Owned, Electric Cooperatives, Municipal Electric Providers and Independent Power Developers).

    The primary services provided are in overhead/underground electrical distribution/transmission construction and maintenance, substation construction and maintenance. This position will also work closely with our renewable division on renewable interconnection services.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Safety:


    responsible for ensuring that workforce meets or exceeds segment / corporate performance targets as well as customer expectations regarding safety.

    Ensure that all events are thoroughly investigated, root causes identified, corrective actions are developed and implemented, effectiveness reviews are completed, and all events communicated within the organization.

    Responsible for driving operational audits to plan and holding subordinates responsible for meeting expectations.

    Quality:
    responsible for ensuring work complies with internal work methods and processes as well as customer's design and construction specifications. Responsible for minimizing rework and impacts of customer damage claims. Accountable for maximizing customer quality performance audit scores.

    Financial:


    responsible for driving productivity, effectively managing costs (both direct and indirect), and ensuring effective equipment utilization to achieve Operating Income goals and objectives.

    Assist with budget development, financial forecasts, development, and review of project bids, MSA contract development and negotiation, invoice review and approval, and timely collection of accounts receivables.


    Business Development & Customer Relations:


    assist with the growth of new business and expanding new services with existing and prospective customers within the division's geographic footprint.

    Assist with maintaining and strengthening relationships with division customers.

    EDUCATION &


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


    Minimum 10 years' experience in the Electrical Utility/Renewable environment required with a preference of 5 years in an advanced leadership position in the electric utility construction and maintenance business sector or engineering consulting business sector.

    B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management or Business preferred. Successful completion of an electrical apprenticeship could satisfy the degree requirement.
    Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
    Must have demonstrated leadership ability leading remote and diverse workgroups.
    Must have the ability to effectively and collaboratively work with peers and support organizations.
    Must be able to manage time effectively and effectively prioritize dynamically changing situations and deadlines.
    Must present a positive and professional image when representing the company with existing and prospective customers.


    Compensation & Benefits:
    $180K-200K with bonus, along with medical, dental, vision, 401K with company match and more.
