    Opportunity Snapshot:

    The Flow Cytometry Supervisor role involves leading daily operations within the department, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing technical challenges. This individual will oversee the accuracy and quality of complex tests, playing a crucial part in maintaining high standards of laboratory work.

    Essential Functions:

    Available for consultation to troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring laboratory practices meet established standards.

    Supervises intricate testing procedures, maintains analytical quality, and directly manages when advanced testing is performed.

    Accountable for training and competency assessments of lab personnel, alongside maintaining quality controls and instrumentation.

    Coordinates with vendors for instrument maintenance, oversees inventory and enforces adherence to laboratory protocols, including CLIA and CAP guidelines.

    Manages administrative duties such as staffing, payroll, performance reviews, and protocol adherence, including safety and infection control.

    Contributes to research department activities, and assay validation, and engages in audit processes.

    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in a science field relevant to laboratory work, with substantial experience in flow cytometry and hematology in a CAP/CLIA accredited environment.

    At least one year in a supervisory capacity with a California State Clinical Laboratory Scientist License (CLS).

    Familiarity with CAP, CLIA, and NYS regulations.
