Job description
We're assisting a well funded startup with their search for a fullstack engineer. Their product is an AI-powered search engine for video footage. This role will be onsite in the SF office.What you'll do:
Build new features that delight users and make them work faster
Implement hifi and lofi Figma designs
Abide by unique data privacy requirements
Expand our video playback and editing system
Add analytics, monitoring, and alerts to our service so that we can better respond to operational incidents
Implement end-to-end and unit tests to accelerate developer velocity
Respond to customer support issues and actively work to improve their daily usage of the product
You have strong experience in React and web development, such that typical performance issues rarely appear
You are fast at implementing designs and maintain quality at top speed. You communicate when things will be done and stick to those deadlines. If there's a slowdown, you'll let us know immediately.
You are obsessed with performance and craft insofar as it helps the customer
You have good intuition of what our unique customers actually care about (search quality, video playback, snappiness)
You are eager to tackle hard engineering problems: massive simultaneous video playback, maintaining customer data privacy, rendering massive lists of data
You are proactive - you anticipate problems before they arise, you know what questions you'll be asked and have prepared responses before they're asked, you predict what the company will need next and proactively outline what it is and the steps for how we'll get there. You realize we are offering a service, not just a product, and you will work to proactively service our customers at every step.
Experience in video, graphics, and GPU intensive interfaces is a massive plus
