    Currently, we are in search of a full time Medical Scribe for our G Street location in Bakersfield.

    Must be bilingual in English & Spanish

    Schedule will be within clinic hours of Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 6:30 am - 7 pm (10 hour shifts) & Tuesday and Thursday 7 am - 12:30 pm (5 hour shifts)


    ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES

    The Medical Scribe is responsible for timely and accurate transcription of clinical documentation into WebPT EMR as reported by the PT's and PTA's in the facility.

  • Submission of daily notes in EMR under the direct supervision of the physical therapist
  • Daily clinical documentation- transcription of patient evaluations and PRs
  • New patient intake- clinical intake
  • Respect and maintain the privacy and dignity of all patients; ensure client confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide efficient and professional telephone services; transfer calls according to protocols.
  • Participate in staff and educational meetings. Keep current with job-specific updates and changes.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work areas.
  • Ensure all patient information is accurate and appropriately documented.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • CPR certification desired
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer skills required, including data entry skills and proficiency with WebPT, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email.
  • Excellent reading and writing skills.
  • Positive attitude and team-orientation required.
  • Attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
  • Able to professionally communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Previous work experience in a physical therapy setting desired.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required
