    Duties:
    Assists the Nursing Scheduler with the following tasks to assure that payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner:

    • Regularly updates nursing staffing sheet.
    • Fixes missing timecard punches.
    • Runs standard reports out of Smartlinx system to aid in the correct processing of payroll.
    • Updates and finalizes both the incentive and retro list for nursing employees and sends to payroll
    Acts as a backup to the Nursing Scheduler position on days off.
    Assists the HIM department with corporate compliance audits.

    Assists the Accounting Department with the following functions:

    • Coordination of unclaimed funds (letters, reports and remittances)
    • Completes minimum wage surveys.
    • Assists with bookkeeping.
    • Sends agency staff hours weekly.
    • Prepares daily deposit.
    • Coordinates time studies.
    • Printing of payroll checks.
    • Reviewing accounts payable checks before mailing

    Performs duties according to the highest ethical and moral standards, and in adherence with the facility's corporate compliance plan and all applicable governing laws.

    Adheres to the facility's confidentiality statement in accessing and safeguarding protected health information (PHI) of residents and employees, as necessary to perform job duties.

    Performs any other duties as requested by the Director of Finance.

    Job Requirements:

    Qualifications:


    Graduate of a two-year college or university with major in Accounting or Business Management and two (2) year's work experience in Accounting or related field.

    OR
    High school graduate with (3) years work experience in Accounting or related field.
    Experience working in a nursing home setting preferred.
