If so, Northumberland County Area Agency on Aging is seeking an ambitious Aging Case Aide 1 to join team.

    DESCRIPTION OF WORK


    As an Aging Case Aide 1, you will gather essential information to determine eligibility for a variety of services and complete intake and referral services for older adults and veterans via telephone, in-person office visits, and in-person home visits.

    Excellent interpersonal skills are utilized to communicate with in-home service providers to initiate services, terminate services, hold services, and coordinate other assistance as necessary, in addition to conducting follow-up telephone calls to older adults receiving new in-home services as per Department of Aging regulations.

    You will also perform various clerical duties, such as filing, typing, photocopying, faxing, and posting at the agency or any Adult Community Center as needed.

    Within this role, you must adhere to the agency's policy of confidentiality and complete responsibilities in accordance with established regulations, policies, and procedures.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours/week.
    • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    • One year of public contact work, which involved obtaining or providing information; or
    • Any equivalent of experience and training.

    • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Clinton, Columbia, Dauphin, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Schuylkill, Snyder, and Union counties.
