    Overview

    The Executive Chef is in charge of managing the culinary team at a well-known venue's F&B department. This role involves supervising, coaching, and training employees to meet company standards. The Executive Chef also handles all employment actions, from hiring to discipline, to ensure a positive work environment.

    Responsibilities of the Executive Chef include overseeing the kitchen's daily operations to guarantee guest satisfaction and profitability. This key position involves managing the culinary team, ensuring food safety compliance, and providing support for event planning and kitchen operations.

    The Executive Chef plays a vital role in maintaining a smooth operation and must have excellent attendance and be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

    This position offers a salary range of $85,000 to $100,000 annually.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage, develop, and mentor a team of 35 full-time and part-time culinary employees.
    • Ensure staff are informed of expectations, provide training and mentoring, and maintain a positive workplace environment.
    • Control food costs, labor costs, and ensure quality and consistency of food products.
    • Supervise kitchen activities, equipment maintenance, and staff training.
    • Coordinate catering services, staff training, and development, and maintain compliance with regulations.
    • Promote teamwork, effective communication, and oversee staff meals production.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years' kitchen management experience in a restaurant or events venue.
    • Track record of managing costs effectively.
    • Professional appearance and computer skills required.
    • Knowledge of employee scheduling and food safety regulations.
    • Ability to interact positively with various personalities and develop staff effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and multitasking abilities.
    • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to work in a team environment.
    • Flexible schedule and willingness to work evenings and weekends.
