    Position Specific Description
    At Gexa, we are taking our Regulatory Compliance Analyst role to the next level. These talented employees are the drivers of excellence.

    Successful individual will assist and coordinate Gexa's compliance activities, both internally and externally to ensure complete compliance by working directly with Business Units.

    Our retail energy team is based in Texas and expands to 14 different states.

    Duty or Activities:

    • Supporting the business unit leaders in the internal-assessments/self-corrections as specified in the Compliance Plan with particular attention to technical subject matter and compliance processes
    • State utility commission Orders, cases, and Regional entity proceedings
    • Maintaining and overseeing the Corporate Tracking Compliance Information Management System (SharePoint or other system)
    • Assisting in the development and delivery of training modules
    • Responding to ad hoc questions from business units regarding filing requirements and gathering data from numerous internal teams to complete required filings for all retail businesses.
    • Maintaining all electronic files, reports, filed documents, etc. related to compliance activities.
    • Monitoring compliance activities at state public utility commissions, RTOs/ISOs and inform Manager(s) and Director(s) well as Business Unit Leads/Subject Matter Experts of new developments, including new or revised rules and requirements.

    Job Overview

    Employees in this role serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for ongoing day-to-day duties related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), International Business Parties (IBPs), the compliance hotline, and other compliance and ethics activities.


    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Refines processes and ensures that the content of policies and procedures are up-to-date
    • Ensures that the content of any forms that are part of policy or procedure are up-to-date
    • Works with business units that plan on engaging an International Business Party to ensure that the processes are followed and due diligence is conducted
    • Reviews and analyzes hotline reporting data to identify opportunities for training, communication of policies and procedures
    • Conducts benchmarking research on best practices, other companies' Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
    • Works with the appropriate departments to gain agreement, make changes, and revise the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics or Senior Officer Code as necessary
    • Updates the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Survey as necessary
    • Performs complex analysis, develops alternative recommendations and formulates implementation strategies
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
