    The DLP Services, LLC is currently accepting applications for the position of:
    • POSITION TITLE: Construction Foreman
    • Location: Del Rio, TX
    • FLSA: Exempt
    • Hire Pay: TBD
    • Classification: Full time

    JOB SUMMARY:
    • Responsible for overseeing daily operations at a worksite to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Their duties include hiring construction workers and trade professionals to perform specific tasks, monitoring budgeting expenses for workers, supplies or tools and reviewing laws and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    • Customer-service skills to communicate with inspectors and administration to develop a positive working relationship.
    • Decision-making skills for selecting personnel and subcontractors for specific tasks and jobs to meet deadlines and budgets.
    • Manage projects onsite and host meetings with teams of Construction Workers to establish project deadlines, safety procedures, work schedules or payment details.
    • Initiative for generating their own business opportunities and being proactive in locating new clients.
    • Leadership skills for effectively delegating tasks to lower-level managers, subcontractors and construction workers.
    • Speaking skills for providing clear orders, explaining complex information to clients and construction workers and discussing technical details with other building specialists.
    • Technical skills for interpreting construction methods and technologies along with contracts and technical drawings.
    • Time-management skills to meet deadlines and ensuring construction phases are completed on time so that the next phase can start.
    • Writing skills for writing budgets, proposals and plans along with documenting work progress for clients and others involved.
    • Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.

    SAFETY:
    • Works safely at all times and promptly informs management about unsafe conditions.
    • Wears personal protective equipment appropriate for the task being performed.
    • Adheres to proper security procedures.
    • Performs other duties as required.

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
    • Receives supervision from the Superindendent.
    • The position has formally assigned supervisory responsibility or authority.
    • Must complete jobs without constant supervision.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    • The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and/or outdoor environment. Works standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
    • Steps, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls, and pushes while performing job duties such as heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects up to 55 pounds.
    • Physical work is a primary part of the job.
    • The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
    • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

    ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
    • This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction.
    • GED or High School Diploma.
    • Experience in the Design-Build methodology of project development is preferred·
    • Experience in Education and Commercial Construction is preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Excellent communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening.
    • Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices.
    • Good planning skills, including design execution, resource allocation and contingencies.
    • Understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and signs of maintenance issues.
    • In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations.
    • Great problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Effective leadership abilities, like motivation, goal setting, and conflict management.
    • Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking.
