Sandpiper Heating & Air Conditioning, a trusted home comfort provider in the Calabash, NC area, is seeking a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, values customer relationships, and wants long-term stability with a growing company.
Position Summary
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential (and light commercial) heating and cooling systems. This position plays a key role in delivering reliable comfort solutions and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and related components
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system tune-ups
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
- Clearly communicate findings, repair options, and recommendations to customers
- Complete service documentation accurately using mobile technology
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional company vehicle and work area
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and local/state regulations
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
Qualifications
- 3+ years of HVAC service experience preferred
- EPA Certification (required)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls effectively
- Residential HVAC experience required; light commercial experience a plus
