    Director of Nursing- SNF

    McKnight Place Extended Care, a premier provider of high-quality extended and transitional care, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON)to lead our skilled nursing team.

    Required Experience

    • Proven and current Medicare Part A experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) is mandatory.
    • Personnel Management: Oversee, manage, and evaluate all nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs, CMTs).
    • Team Collaboration: Navigate and promote a collaborative environment; manage employee concerns and professional discipline.
    • Staff Development: Provide training and education as necessary for staff development and competency.
    • Clinical Oversight: Supervise and manage all resident care, ensuring strict adherence to nursing policies and procedures.
    • Willingness to actively participate in and contribute to both the management rotation and the on-call rotation schedules.

    Regulatory and Quality Assurance

    • Survey Process: Expert ability to manage the survey process, including preparedness and response (State/CMS).
    • Investigations: Conduct thorough, in-depth investigations regarding resident care, collaborating on findings.
    • Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to CMS regulations.
    • Incident Follow-up: Possess the knowledge to follow up on serious incidents and allegations promptly and appropriately.

    Qualifications

    • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Missouri.
    • 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings, with experience supporting Medicare Part A services.
    • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
