- Manages both Food and Beverage operations in assigned F&B Outlet including ordering of beverage products.
- Establish effective orientation and training for new staff and maintains the development thereof.
- Monitor on-going operations to assure the highest possible standards of guest service and product quality.
- Ensure that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently utilized.
- Produce weekly forecasts for outlets and make recommendations on need for breakfast buffets.
- Maintain balanced staffing and scheduling strategies to meet business needs.
- Review menus in POS system to ensure accuracy.
- See that all legal requirements are adhered to including wage and hour issues, laws governing alcoholic beverages and health department issues.
- Research new products and keep on top of current beverage and service trends.
- Monitor purchasing of products and supplies to meet guidelines for quality and pricing.
- Maintain high visibility at the Village by greeting and listening to customer's comments and needs.
- Address customer complaints personally while keeping Outlet(s) manager and executive chef informed.
- Maintain appearance, upkeep, cleanliness and organization of F&B facilities by following posted cleaning schedules.
- Monitor associate dress codes and appearance.
- Maintain POS and accurate daily sales reports and reconcile errors.
- Keep historical records of special events and day to day business for educated forecasts.
- Audit payroll
- Help develop operating budget: monitor and take corrective action as necessary to assure that budget goals are attained.
- Help plan and implement external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Two to four years related experience and/or training as a leader/supervisor/manager in hospitality setting required.
- Associate degree (A. A.) from four-year College or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Proficiency in inventory management and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in food and beverage service.
- TAM, Servsafe, and/or TiPS certification is preferred.
- Employees in this position must maintain an open availability for any shift required to cover departmental operations.
- Regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
- Frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
