    Position Summary:

    The Food and Beverage Dining Room Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dining room operations, including guest service, staff management, inventory control, and maintaining quality standards. They work closely with kitchen staff, waitstaff, and the Director of Food and Beverage to ensure an exceptional dining experience for patrons.

    Position Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Manages both Food and Beverage operations in assigned F&B Outlet including ordering of beverage products.
    • Establish effective orientation and training for new staff and maintains the development thereof.
    • Monitor on-going operations to assure the highest possible standards of guest service and product quality.
    • Ensure that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently utilized.
    • Produce weekly forecasts for outlets and make recommendations on need for breakfast buffets.
    • Maintain balanced staffing and scheduling strategies to meet business needs.
    • Review menus in POS system to ensure accuracy.
    • See that all legal requirements are adhered to including wage and hour issues, laws governing alcoholic beverages and health department issues.
    • Research new products and keep on top of current beverage and service trends.
    • Monitor purchasing of products and supplies to meet guidelines for quality and pricing.
    • Maintain high visibility at the Village by greeting and listening to customer's comments and needs.
    • Address customer complaints personally while keeping Outlet(s) manager and executive chef informed.
    • Maintain appearance, upkeep, cleanliness and organization of F&B facilities by following posted cleaning schedules.
    • Monitor associate dress codes and appearance.
    • Maintain POS and accurate daily sales reports and reconcile errors.
    • Keep historical records of special events and day to day business for educated forecasts.
    • Audit payroll
    • Help develop operating budget: monitor and take corrective action as necessary to assure that budget goals are attained.
    • Help plan and implement external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Professional Experience:

    • Two to four years related experience and/or training as a leader/supervisor/manager in hospitality setting required.

    Education:

    • Associate degree (A. A.) from four-year College or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Required Skills:

    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
    • Proficiency in inventory management and financial analysis.
    • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in food and beverage service.
    • TAM, Servsafe, and/or TiPS certification is preferred.
