    Passages Alaska Clinician

    This is a seasonal position at a new and growing wilderness therapy program based on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska.

    Duties include:

    • The clinician supports and assists with training field staff in their work with students and is an integral part of the Passages Alaska organization.
    • Provides individual and group therapeutic interventions to Passages Alaska Students.
    • The clinician position requires an overnight stay in the group each week and a two week stay in the group is strongly encouraged when joining the Passages Alaska team.
    • Provides weekly coaching and coordination with student's parents via telephone or Zoom
    • Coordinates with referring professionals during admission and following student discharge.
    • Maintains documentation consistent with licensure and discipline.
    • Must be comfortable allowing nature to shape both clinical interventions, and student treatment.
    • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but carries the weight of clinical direction and has had the term "Mystical Jedi Ninja" associated with it by students.
    • Provide in person facilitation during family camp

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of a Masters degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy or closely associated discipline.
    • Must be able to be licensed in the state of Alaska
    • *Must be comfortable navigating on the salt water and in the woods.
    • *Must have boating experience operating and possess the ability to independently travel to and from groups in an open skiff.*

    Benefits:

    Pay is dependent on experience.

    Work schedule is flexible as our client's families are from every time zone in the country as well as internationally. Ideally, a clinician would be able to work a 4 day work week.
