    Description

    What you will be doing:

    The purpose of the Payroll Analyst is to assist management with all processes with payroll tax, tax deposits, payroll tax returns, tax compliance and W-2 reporting. In addition the Payroll Analyst manages all aspects of audit reporting, compliance, tax withholding requirements and departmental projects with a focus on timesheet compliance issue review and resolution. Accountable for prioritizing and organizing work to optimize workflow. Support payroll leadership with auditing, compliance, reporting, tax filing, quality control and projects as assigned.

  • Review, monitor and audit adherence to Timekeeping Policy; Monitor Time and Attendance dashboard
  • Manage and ensure timesheet compliance items are reported, researched and resolved
  • Demonstrate superior technical knowledge of the requirements surrounding Tax withholding, recording and reporting of Federal, State and Local payroll taxes, W-2 reporting and Year End
  • Knowledge of US and Puerto Rico payroll and tax laws
  • Supports compliance system changes and system updates/enhancements for Payroll
  • Assists with providing system tax configurations
  • Assist Payroll team with bi-weekly payrolls and adjustment runs as needed, including execution of payrolls in accordance with established policies, procedures, and Federal/state regulations
  • Provides excellent customer service to associates across all functions of the company
  • Ensures compliance with internal and external Audit and SOX-regulated controls
  • Provides support to leadership as needed on additional projects
  • Guides, trains and leads team members as required
  • Ensures documentation associated with payroll enhancements is maintained properly
  • Assists in vendor management for tax filing and W-2 data
  • Assists with managing Payroll process audits and controls are in place and actioned timely
  • Manage and ensure timesheet compliance items are reported, researched and resolved
  • Assist with Payroll metrics package
  • Identify Payroll issues and make proactive recommendations for improvements
  • Assists with managing all auditor requests for samples from Internal teams and Deloitte at intervals throughout the year
  • Partner with Field Operations, HRBP's, HRIS and other departments as required
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed
  • Answer questions and problem solve for field and home team members aside from the normal policy and procedures
  • Ability to prioritize, exercise judgement and anticipate needs in a multitasking and rapidly changing environment

  • Must work independently to resolve the majority of payroll-related issues. Ability to review and analyze current workflow to make judgment of what is needed. Work with payroll leadership on special projects.
  • Job Requirements – Education/Experience

    Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance - Preferred

    Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) - Preferred

    3 years of Payroll experience in multi-state/multi-jurisdictional payroll for a large company (50 states and 15,000+ employees) with knowledge of various state and local payroll taxes - Required

    Experience with Workday, ADP or other large payroll processing system, Experience with payroll tax processing Advanced knowledge of MS Office skills, particularly Excel (pivot tables, filters, v-lookups) - Preferred

  • The individual must be a leader who is willing to work alongside the department to ensure all work is processed accurately and in timely fashion, with a primary focus on customer service to the field offices and personnel.
  • Compensation Range:

    The annual salary range for this role is: $60,000-$75,000 per year
