Position Overview:
IHOP is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Servers to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing our guests with exceptional dining experiences by delivering friendly service, efficiently taking orders, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about menu items, specials, and dietary restrictions.
- Accurately take and process customer orders using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring that plates are prepared and garnished according to IHOP standards.
- Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, processing payments according to company policies.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the food service industry.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments.
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain any required permits or certifications
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
