Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team of General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans in Houston, KY.
At this practice, you will work with a government contractor committed to serving Veterans and ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve. With the option to work either from a facility or your own office within the local area, you will play an essential role in a fulfilling practice designed to meet the needs of the community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform mainly interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete reports and submit addendums as necessary.
- Utilize your expertise in METs testing, respiratory, and cardiovascular evaluations.
- Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes.
- Work on a PRN basis with options for ½ or full-day shifts.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted full license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery.
- Ability and willingness to perform DMA training to achieve DMA certification.
- Must have a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must possess an active license for the state of Kentucky.
- DMA certification required after training.
- Current home address must be provided for presentation purposes.
