The ideal candidate has a background in biological sciences,
technical understanding of research papers, and good oral and written communication skills in the English
language. If you don't meet all the qualifications, you may still be considered, depending on your level of

For almost 50 years, Sutter Instrument has been an international leader in the manufacture of precision
instrumentation for the neurobiological sciences. We have the latest instrumentation for patch clamp and
other electrophysiological techniques and continue to expand our line of manipulators, light sources,
multi-photon microscopes and micropipette pullers. Privately owned and located in Marin County, North

Responsibilities
• Collecting hours for hourly employees, & time off
• Running and managing payroll
• On-boarding new employees
• Fulfilling requests for retirement, disability, job injuries
• Maintain state and government employee postings
• Manage company safety and injury prevention training
• Aid in recruiting effort – manage job listings
• Help with travel arrangements for employees
• Managing company insurance plans – Healthcare, disability, general insurance
• Make sure company vehicles are registered
Qualifications
• Up to date on Covid vaccinations
Benefits
• Year-end (profit sharing) bonus (This is based on base pay and time with the company, so will
increase each year. $6,000 minimum)
• Annual pension contribution into self-directed account at Fidelity (typically 10%-20% of total
compensation including bonus)
• Full Kaiser medical coverage for yourself and all dependents (HSA or HMO plan, your choice. If
you choose HSA, we contribute $3000 for a family to an HSA account to cover costs)
• Dental reimbursement (100% of the first $500 in expenses and 50% of everything up to $2000
