We are looking for a Pharmacist - Prior Authorization As a licensed healthcare professional working in the Pharmacy Prior Authorization Department, your main role involves evaluating prior authorization and coverage requests for pharmaceutical products. This entails assessing medical necessity and determining benefits based on established pharmacy guidelines, contractual criteria, industry regulations, and clinical expertise. You'll operate autonomously in reviewing and making decisions, supported by senior pharmacist staff and supervisors, within a team dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards and exceeding customer expectations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing clinical support to the PerformRx Contact Center via telephone.
• Engaging in discussions with providers to assist in decision-making processes.
• Contributing to oversight of the Fraud and Abuse program system.
• Participating in various pharmacy-related projects.
• Staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Remaining informed about operational directives and customer reference materials.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of experience
• Must Reside in North Carolina
• Pharmacy License in NC
