    We are accepting applications for a Manufacturing Engineer within our Manufacturing Engineering department


    General Position Summary:


    Plans for the introduction of new and modified products into manufacturing and for the improvement of manufacturing processes and methods.

    Provide existing product / process support for all departments.

    Functions/Duties/Major


    Responsibilities:
    Coordinate with R&D and sustaining engineering to release new and modified designs into production departments.

    Evaluate new product designs and make recommendations on improvements to enhance manufacturability.

    Train production personnel, design and fabricate assembly and test fixtures, develop process flow, generate route sheets, author work instructions.

    Analyze existing process flow and make recommendations to management if improvements can be implemented.

    Troubleshoot production problems to determine cause and propose and implement corrective actions.

    Coordinate with AP Tech suppliers to perform capability assessments, perform supplier audits if required.

    Evaluate new equipment purchases and plan for and oversee the implementation of the new equipment.


    Education and/or Experience:
    B.S. degree in

    Mechanical/Industrial

    Engineering or equivalent. Existing on-site equipment includes manual mills/lathes and a Hurco VM1 CNC Mill.

    Experience with operation and programming of these type of machines will be an added plus for the candidate however on the job training will be available.

    Working knowledge of SolidWorks and PLC's desired.
