    About the Role

    The Registration Specialist will perform data entry, verify information, and handle requests for student records and related information. The ideal candidate will provide advice and guidance to faculty, staff, and students regarding the registration process while adhering to academic policies as stated in the University Catalog.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate records in the student information system.
    • Facilitate registration forms and processes, including adds/drops, holds, registration exceptions, requisite waivers, audits, alumni audits, grade forgiveness, S/U, workshop registrations, change of address, returning students, petitions to withdraw, and overloads.
    • Oversee grade collection, process grade changes, oversee unresolved grades, and run Dean's List.
    • Record credit for College Level Examination (CLEP), Advanced Placement (AP), and Advanced (A/AS) Level Examinations.
    • Record equivalency credit for prior learning or other miscellaneous non-course equivalent credit.
    • Process requests for withdrawal or leave of absence from the university.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree and experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
    • Detail-oriented and possess excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Strong organizational skills for performing a variety of complex and confidential administrative duties.
    • Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
    • Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and take initiative.

    Working Conditions

    The successful candidate will be able to operate standard office equipment and may require long periods of sitting or standing to perform necessary tasks.
