    Description

    Under limited supervision, prepares and reviews the most complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Assists in the input and analysis of the Company's long-range plans, annual budgets, and forecasting. Typically directs day-to-day activities of less experienced staff.

    Major Areas of Accountability

    •Consults with management regarding the documentation of financial data within a specific field (accounting, auditing, budgeting, taxation, etc.).

    •Performs a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources to ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations and reporting requirements.

    •Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, or other financial reports, as needed.

    •Develops management reports of the organization's finances including resource utilization and assumptions underlying forecasts

    Key Tasks and Responsibilities
    • Follows established procedures and guidelines to ensure financial transactions are properly recorded and maintained.
    • Ensures accuracy of entries to ledger accounts to ensure the organization has an accurate statement of its financial position.
    • Directs efforts to collect, compile, verify and analyze financial information; prepares accurate and timely reports, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, cash flow, debtor and creditor lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports and filings, and/or similar financial data.
    • Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
    • Provides technical accounting advise within area of expertise to functional or operational area managers to assist them in developing revenue and expense budgets, understanding financial reports, and managing financial responsibilities.
    • May be responsible for complex projects such as special studies, compliance reporting, administration of taxes, coordination of audits, or other senior accounting related studies and projects.
    • Provides analysis of actual costs.
    • Analyzes cost records and calculation of unit cost for products or services related to a specific job or project; examines any costs that seem contrary to experience.
    • Ensures that assigned processes, procedures and workflows are completed consistent with corporate guidelines and compliant with internal and external requirements.
    Qualifications

    Specialized Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office including MS Excel, Word, Project, and other software applications.
    • Demonstrated aptitude for math and ability to perform detailed calculations and analysis.
    • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management
