    Description

    LHH is partnering with a client to find an experienced Network Engineer to join their team in San Diego, CA.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, configure, and implement complex network solutions using Cisco products and technologies.
    • Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and optimizations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging Cisco technologies.
    • Perform network capacity planning and scalability assessments.
    • Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Proven experience as a Network Engineer, with a strong focus on Cisco products and technologies.
    • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) are preferred.
    • Expertise in configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Proficiency in network protocols, routing, and switching (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs).
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience with other networking vendors and technologies (Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.).
    • Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation.
    • Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid cloud environments.
    • Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime).

    Salary: 100k-140k
