    Position Summary

    Responsible for day-to-day operations, training, and supervision of all on-course food and beverage staff. Promote a friendly and enthusiastic work environment. Maintain company quality standards regarding sanitation and cleanliness.

    Assist with requisition of daily inventory, cost controls, and on-course sales to ensure that budgeted food, labor, supplies, and other costs are achieved.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    • Ensure prompt food and beverage service is provided through commitment to guest service.
    • Perform regular staff training, coaching, counseling, and assist with progressive discipline.
    • Completion of the Manager-in-Training (MIT) Program
    • Assist Food and Beverage Director in the planning and implementing of staffing schedules to ensure customer service standards are achieved with minimum employee cost.
    • Manage the Gratuity & Service Charge distribution for the On-Course Team in a timely manner
    • Monitor internal cost controls for the department. Ensure quality levels of food and beverage products and maintain standards in production, presentation, services, facilities, and guest satisfaction.
    • Provide consistent communication to staff regarding resort and department's daily operations via nightly email update.
    • Ensure operations comply with all state and federal laws, rules and regulations, relating to food and beverage sanitation, alcohol and tobacco, and ADA requirements.
    • Monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures relevant to cash handling and payroll.
    • Ensure maintenance of all appropriate sanitation standards including, but not limited to, employee hygiene and uniforms, kitchen food service equipment and preparation areas, food storage areas, receiving areas, washing areas, restrooms, and beverage stands.
    • Monitor and record requisitions for all on-course outlets to maintain food and beverage inventories and ensure proper quantity and price on all purchases.
    • Maintain open communication with Food & Beverage Director regarding all on-course food and beverage operations, trends, or incidents.
    • Perform additional duties as required.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. College degree preferred.
    • 2 years applicable functional, supervisory and/or management experience, preferably in F&B.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office and POS computer experience necessary.
    • High-level attention to detail as well as proven organizational skills.
    Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:


    • All Staff required to take Learn2Serve Training on Alcohol, Tobacco, and Food Handling.
    • Ability to be handle and serve products containing tobacco or alcohol.
    • Valid driver's license and completion Sand Valley MVR training.
    Working Conditions

    Work hours may include days and evenings on weekdays and weekends. Work primarily indoors in a restaurant/lounge environment, with some outdoor work involving patio and on-course service.

    Will be exposed to sharp utensils, extremely hot stoves and grills, sharp and rapid equipment movements, hot food, potentially dangerous chemicals and solvents on a daily basis.

    May be exposed, from time to time, to inclement weather, potentially dangerous pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, equipment movement hazards, and misdirected golf balls.

    Injury may result as a result of exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed at all times.

    Physical Requirements:


    Must have the ability to:

    • Ability to read and fluently speak the English language.
    • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations
    • Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to make good, informed, and quick decisions to satisfy guests as well as to fulfill operational demands.
    • Ability to read and interpret written documents such as safety rules, training manuals, and operating procedures.
    • Good basic arithmetic skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
    • Ability to give and/or follow both verbal and written instructions.
    • Visually inspect all work areas
    • Operate vehicles and equipment for several hours at a time
    • Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time
    • Lift up to 30 lbs occasionally, 10 lbs frequently, and 5 lbs constantly
    • Food service equipment, utensils, serving utensils, golf carts, utility vehicles.
