The Notifications Team

We're building the next generation notifications platform to enable respectful and helpful notification experiences for our users. These notifications include Push, In-App/In-Experience, Messages, Email, and SMS – all designed to deliver the right content at the right time.

Our team's goal is to ensure that notifications are what users want to see, when they should receive them. We achieve this by connecting the right user to the right content at the right time.

Core Pipeline

We're also developing our Core Pipeline, which delivers notifications of all types to our users. This scalable platform provides the best possible user experience.

Your Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the backend development for our Notifications team
• Build functionality to grow millions of users through our delivery channels, ensuring scalability and a great user experience
• Report to the Engineering Manager on the Notifications Team

Your Qualifications:

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Experience in compiled languages such as C# or Java
• API design patterns, server-side architecture/design expertise
• Mentorship experience for other engineers
• Led large technically complex projects
• Cross-team collaboration on projects and between product managers and engineering
• Participated in system design review groups, such as Architectural review committee
• Full Stack experience with stronger preference on the backend
• Familiarity with A/B Testing (Bonus)
• Experience with notifications such as Mobile Push Notifications, Web Notifications, Email or SMS notifications (Bonus)
• Experience in machine learning (Bonus)
• Experience in Android / iOS development (Bonus)
• Experience working with big data, data pipelines, and data analytics (Bonus)
