    Day shift on weekdays; every 3rd weekend evening shift.

    Job Description


    The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for examinations, explaining procedures, and responding to patient questions while performing diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform patient care and technical duties accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Greet each patient pleasantly and explain procedures in understandable terms.
    • Review requests and evaluate orders for appropriate exams and diagnoses.
    • Always check for two patient identifiers: Name and Date of Birth.
    • Prepare and position patients for examinations using proper techniques.
    • Take correct views for examinations and operate CR, Fluoro, and DR rooms safely.
    • Assist the Radiologist and/or Fluoro Tech during examinations.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly work area while demonstrating appropriate radiation safety practices.
    • Document patient symptoms, history, imaging limitations, and technologist initials in PACS.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff.

    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology approved by ARRT.
    • One year of experience preferred in performing radiological procedures.
    • Registered with the ARRT in Radiology.
    • Current BLS certification as per American Heart Association standards.
