    Overview:

    Join Forethought Advisors as a Policy Research Analyst and immerse yourself in pivotal federal policies emerging from key legislative acts such as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, the Inflation Reduction Act, and the CHIPS for America Act. In this role, you will leverage your analytical and research skills to craft memos and develop insights that drive strategic decision-making and enhance client advisory services. You will also be required to attend Congressional oversight hearings, playing a crucial role in shaping our approach to evolving federal initiatives.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Conduct in-depth analysis of legislative documents, policies, and other government publications.
    • Proactively source information from legislative libraries, archives, and databases to support client-focused initiatives.
    • Monitor and analyze key legislation, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of bill progress and pertinent discussions to extract actionable insights.
    • Collaborate with Executive Branch agencies to understand fund allocation mechanisms under various acts.
    • Synthesize research into comprehensive policy briefs, reports, and presentations tailored to varied audiences.
    • Remain informed on shifts in federal policy and legislative activities through rigorous primary research.
    • Participate in team brainstorming sessions to identify new research directions and assist in strategic planning.
    • Present research findings and strategic insights to clients and stakeholders during calls and meetings.
    • Attend and contribute to workshops and seminars hosted by Federal agencies, Politico, Congressional Quarterly, and other prominent information sources.
    • Assist with administrative tasks and other responsibilities as needed.

    What We Value:

    • A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
    • A strong passion for and knowledge of federal policy, especially recent legislation related to economic development and industrial policy.
    • Exceptional skills in primary source research and analytical reasoning.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to multitask effectively in a team-oriented environment.
