    Your Role:
    The Director, Asset Management's main objective is to represent ownership's financial and economic interests to optimize its assets' profitability. This is done in conjunction with meeting other objectives such as long term capital appreciation, sustainability, and positive reputation management. The Director, Asset Management will recommend changes in strategy, goals, and objectives to meet the goals of ownership; most often this means the optimization of the P&L to maximize current returns (income) to ownership.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Leadership - Educates, coaches, and mentors Asset Management team members to ensure the best professional methods, practices, and standards are in place especially in the areas of reporting, analysis, and presentations to internal and external parties. Oversee and align team members to high standards of data integrity, quality control, and consistency.

    • Research - Review, evaluate and share market analysis on the SFR rental industry in order to identify opportunities based on market trends and industry condition.

    • Financials - Financial review of operating statements to evaluate performance, including budget variances, against goals and objectives.

    • Performance Benchmarking - Create benchmarks as needed to monitor company objectives versus performance in financial and operating results, metrics and KPIs. Evaluate effectiveness of operating tactics and initiatives.

    • Market Knowledge - Gain and present a comprehensive knowledge of rental markets, including direct competition. Review and assess the positioning of the company's rental home inventory relative to the market.

    • Team Relationship Management - Engage with internal staff to address any issues or concerns identified by team members relating to asset management initiatives.

    • Work Environment - Contribute to a professional, hardworking, task-oriented, "go-getter" work environment.

    • Other tasks as assigned.

    Candidate Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required (Real estate, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, etc.); an advanced degree is preferred

    • 4-5 years' experience in single- or multi-family real estate preferred

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and an advanced user of Excel

    • Possess a strong passion for continual improvement in financial and operating performance

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong analytical and research skills

    • Proven customer service skills both internal and external

    • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment

    • Ability to successfully lead and adapt to changes in process

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills

    • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet service level agreements

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed

    • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with a team
