Adolescent Inpatient Unit Austin Campus Permanent Full time and Part-time hours available- 114hrs The Adolescent Inpatient Unit is an 11 bed unit for young people 13-18 years of age. The unit accepts admissions for assessment and treatment, as well as crisis. These young people may be experiencing emotional, behavioural and/or social difficulties and have usually had some outpatient treatment. About the role: As an Austin Health Nurse you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of evidence-based nursing care in designated medical specialties, in order to optimize health outcomes for the community. Key responsibilities will see you: Support a philosophy of care, which is patient focused, from admission to discharge, and where the family is welcome in the carers team Ensure the well-being and safety of patients by following the values and principles, which underpin best practice in relation to patient care, education and patient rights Achieve and maintain the skills necessary, through personal professional development, to plan, prioritize and implement holistic patient care About you: You will be someone who enjoys working as a part of a supportive team committed to excellence in patient care.
