    Remote but needs to travel to San Jose, CA (3-4 time a year)

    Job Description:

    Candidates needs to be trong on the following areas:Hadoop Cloudera data platform ( CDP ) experience , installation and configuration.

    Real experience and understanding of kerborized clusters ( with Active Directory ), trust me , it is a different world in HadoopGood experience in HA setup and performance tuning .Troubleshooting of CDP cluster issuesReplication using Cloudera managerSenior Cloudera Engineer with above 6-8 years experience who will be responsible for managing the migration and configuration changes from HDP cluster to CDP.


    Responsibilities:
    Manage the migration of clusters from Hortonworks Data platform(HDP) to Cloudera Data platform(CDP)Implement and maintain cluster configurations.
    Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues and capacity constraints.
    Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize platform requirements.
    Create and maintain documentation for platform configurations, changes, and issues.
    Provide support for engineering team on HDP and CDP cluster related issues.
    Maintain security and compliance standards across the platform.


    Requirements:


    Minimum of 3 years of experience with Cloudera CDP administration and managementCandidate should have experience in Oracle DB and managing/deploying large-scale Cloudera environments and possess a deep understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem.

    Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Python, Shell, or Ansible for cluster setup, backup, data copy, and monitoringStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
