    Position Overview


    We are in search of a highly skilled Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and contribute to our AI/ML initiatives.

    Collaborating closely with our AI/ML development team, including the VP of Data and AI/ML and the VP of Product Management, you will play a key role in deploying ML and AI solutions.

    Your expertise in machine learning, Airflow, Spark, Kubernetes, and Sagemaker will be crucial in deploying production-quality AI/ML solutions for consumption by our front-end.

    This role requires a balance between design/architecture and execution, making you an essential individual contributor to our team.

    Specific Roles & Responsibilities

    Take ownership of machine learning operations and deployment for all ML and AI solutions.

    Develop frameworks for capturing feedback loop data.

    Automate monitoring of model performance and user behavior.

    Influence tooling, frameworks, and ML practices within the AI/ML team.

    Assist in data collection for AI/ML development and validation.

    Collaborate with Product Management on prioritization and requirements.

    Occasional domestic travel may be required for in-person team, department, and company meetings.

    Qualifications

    Proficiency in AWS tools and solutions, including Sagemaker, Redshift, and Athena.

    Experience with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch.

    Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying workflows with ML models and feedback loops, using Bitbucket workflows and CI/CD.

    Deep experience in at least two of the following languages: PySpark/Spark, Python, C.


    Working knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-augmented Generation (RAN), Clustering algorithms (such as K-Means), and Binary classifiers (such as XGBoost).

    High level of self-starting, learning, and initiative behaviors.

    Preferred

    Background as a software engineer with experience as a data scientist.

    Familiarity with Features Stores.
