    Job Details:

    • Work 36 hours per week with 3x12 hour shifts or 40 hours per week with 8/10 hour shifts
    • On call requirement for evenings and weekends
    • Float within scope to meet facility needs
    • Minimum 18 months Cath Lab Tech experience required, 2 years preferred
    • First-time travelers accepted

    Required certifications:
    AHA ACLS and BLS

    Preferred certifications:
    Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT), RCIS


    • Must be nicotine free - negative 10 panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required
    • EKG and pharmacy test required during orientation with maximum 2 attempts each
    • Time-sensitive modules must be completed pre-start (non-billable, averaging 6-15 hours)

    Charting system:

    EPIC

    • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
    • Handle cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, and coronary interventions
    • Maintain sterile field and follow isolation precautions/PPE protocols
    • Work with middle adult and older adult patient populations

    This 332-bed short-term acute care teaching facility operates as a smoke-free environment with a focus on cardiovascular services. The facility features a comprehensive cath lab program offering both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

    The organization maintains high standards for patient care and safety, requiring strict compliance with nicotine-free policies and providing comprehensive orientation programs to ensure staff competency in specialized cardiac procedures.
