    Purpose of Role

    The Sr. Director / Creative Director, Men's Sportswear, Curry/Basketball, Collabs & Outerwear/Outdoor Apparel is responsible for researching, building & collaborating on the creative handwriting and concepts on a seasonal basis, ensuring connection to brand strategy, innovation, and UA design DNA. The Sr Creative Director will report to the Chief Design Officer, and will partner closely with peers from Design, Innovation/Materials, Product, Merchandising, and Marketing. This leader will be specifically responsible for the research, collaboration and application of the creative direction for the Men's categories of Sportstyle, Curry/Baskeball, Collabs, and the Co-Gender categories of Outerwear & Outdoor.... synergizing trend relevance with core UA values of innovation & performance - in a space where we don't currently have large marketshare. The Sr. Director will need to build strong partnerships with their creative peers to create - from concept to market - compelling and fresh stories that speak to the Women's market & tie to our brand stories as appropriate. This person will be skilled at building and maintaining strong and effective relationships with the UA leadership team, as well as with the leaders of key functions. Additionally, this leader will take on the design conceptualization and process in direct partnership with SVP, Design on collaborations and celebrity/VIP chases. As we continue to build out our evolving footprint in NYC, this teammate will be the senior leader of this creative design space, connecting our brand with relevant taste makers in the industry.

    Your Impact

    • Lead global product creative concept direction, collaborating w key design & cross functional partners
    • Drive seasonal inspiration meetings including team travel to develop seasonal perspective, including detecting & trend concepts to influence all aspects of design (silo, color, pattern, materials)
    • Manage the wholistic design process by leading & directing a diverse team of designers, ensuring understanding of creative direction through to creating market leading design that always blends performance, innovation and style.
    • Partner closely with design leadership to collaborate throughout the entire design process to bring creative concepts to life, as well as ensuring creative direction is in synergy with the need & growth of the business.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 15+ years of experience in Apparel or relevant industry
    • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA is helpful but not mandatory
    • Experience in a senior creative role within apparel/design industry
    • Experience leading a team of creative designers
    • Strong research and storytelling skills
    • Global industry experience (international)
    • Proven experience in leading and managing a team
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (5-10%)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    Workplace Location

    • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our New York office.
    • Return to Work Designation: Three (3) days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.
    • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally (5-10%)

    Base Compensation

    $247, $340,540.75 USD

    Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
